Rocket Launcher, Get!

In previous streams, usually the manic episodes, I have bemoaned the fact that I hadn’t found the rocket launcher in either of my two complete play-throughs of the leaked beta or in the LP when I got to the DRB hideout.  That time is over.  Behold:

Last week, I left both streams saved at places that were, shall we say, inconvenient to resume my schedule from.  So, today, I finally got around to loading up those games and getting them up to speed.  This involved speeding through side quests that I haven’t shown for story reasons and grabbing any gear I thought I might want; and, as it turns out, doing one last look around the DRB for the holy gra- rocket launcher.  I ended up seeing a entrance to the sewer in the DRB area that I’d never seen before (it’s not important to finding the rocket launcher, so no pic and no map).  Speaking of the map, that came in handy, it led me to this lovely little crawlspace:

It didn’t come out well in the screenshot, but this is noxious gas and even on ‘Tell me a story’ mode, it kills you pretty quick.  I saved, applied the lungs augmentation and went through.  The rocket launcher is on the only path on the other side.  I wouldn’t recommend going this way, because the lung aug seems pretty useless so far and it cost me 2 Praxis points — but if you really want to go through here, it’s in the north end of the DRB sewers.  It takes you topside into a fenced-off area at the north end of the DRB area.  The better way to get there is to take the two barrels from the weapon stash and stack them as shown below.  This costs you no Praxis points and is probably faster.

Then, just go up the fire escape, hack the door (which you might be able to just blow up) and kill two guys.  And, then, there it is: the hammer Mjolnir, the mythical unicorn, the rocket launcher.  I haven’t used it yet, and I won’t be showcasing it during tonight’s recording, but Friday… oh, yes… Friday, there will be mayhem.  And, now, gratuitous screenshots of the rocket launcher:

You are welcome. If the directions are too poorly done, I can record a video or go back and get a map shot.

  1. Thank you so much i had wondered what was beyond the toxic air and died several times! thank you

  2. Richard Says:

There is a red wheel on your right before entering the tunnel with the gas. If you turn the wheel, it shuts off the gas.

    • There is that wheel, but it’s on the same side of the tunnel as the rocket launcher. If you’re trying to get to the rocket launcher, you need an alternate route or have the lungs aug.
